Chris Brockington, Owner

History- I wouldn't call myself athletic. I rode horses, danced, speed skated for a bit but not super involved in any of those. I found Crossfit in 2013 and my life forever changed. Then I met my now coach Joe in a weightlifting clinic and bam, I transitioned to weightlifting.

Why do you coach? The positive impact on my personal health and overall well being lead me to want to share in empowering people, especially women in strength! Watching people realize they can do more than they ever imagined is priceless. Standing beside people as they crush goals is euphoric.

Certifications- CF-L1, USAW-L2

Favorite workout/movement- Squats! Its a metaphor for life, what weighs you down throw it on your back and squat it. Push presses make me feel like an amazon! Clean & Jerks light up my soul. I love chipper workouts long and grueling.

Despised workout/movement- RUNNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Its not natural, it hurts, its boring, I cant breathe, I do it wrong and its stupid.

Coca Avila, Head Coach THRESHOLD STRENGTH

History- Began crossfit 3 years ago and has competed in 3 crossfit competitions. Began coaching Threshold 2 years ago. I think that being a coach takes years of experience, learning how to get your point across in different ways can be the most difficult. At first, for me, it was really frustrating because you get into your way of demonstrating or explaining something and that doesn’t work for everybody. So you really have to learn to adapt to different personalities. I feel like now I’m comfortable doing that and watching other coach always helps.

Why do you coach? One of the reasons why I enjoy being a coach is watching someone realize, “Holy crap, I just did something I didn’t think I could do.” Watching people grow, change and realize that they can do more than they thought they could and recognizing how much they have changed is awesome.

Certifications- USAW-L2

Favorite workout/movement- Fran and Diane

Despised workout/movement- Turkish Get Up

Summer jones, Coach

History- I did not grow up playing sports. The most activity in my family was my mother walking for weight loss. It wasn’t until about 5 years ago that I invited exercise to be a part of my life. The general physical fitness that I gained had unforeseen and wide reaching benefits for me.

Why do you coach? The reason I coach is because of the passion I have after my own experience. I just want to share with others the experiences that are layed out before them.

Certifications-  CF-L1, USAW-L1SP , NASM-CES, Body Restoration and Mobility

Favorite workout/movement- Hero WOD ‘Alexander’ Love it. Hate it. Very painful.

Despised workout/movement- “Despised” movement would have to be wallballs. I am as tall as a hobbit. Be it 9 or 10 feet tall target, I have to jump real hard, real often.

Arron Jeffcoat, Coach

History- I've been in and out of the gym since middle school, Rambo and Arnold got me motivated when I was younger to get stronger and build my muscles. I ran track and did long jump, 19'4" was my best jump. I always pushed myself to my limit and tried to keep going further. I have been doing CrossFit for 5 years and love every minute of it.

Why do you coach? I love seeing people push themselves to their limits and past them.

Certifications- USAW-L1SP (in progress)

Favorite workout/movement- Grace and DT are my favorite workouts

Despised workout/movement- Eva is pure hatred
